The Varsity Football Team improved to 2-0, on the 2019 season, with a 28-10 victory at Sylvania Northview. The offense was lead by Junior Quarterback Logan Heintschel who ran for two touchdowns and threw for another. Logan connected with Senior Wide Receiver Andrew Collins for a 76 yard scoring strike to start the scoring for the Eagles. Sophomore Running Back Jordan Pettaway also chipped in with a 2 yard touchdown run. The defense, led by Junior Cam Duran, Senior Ty Szymczak and sophomore Ty Cobb, held the Wildcats to just 216 total yards and Junior Seth Meinke, Senior Brandon Harris and Junior Andrew Naugle all had interceptions. The Eagles next game is Friday, September 6th, at Clay Memorial Stadium, when they host the Waite Indians in the annual “Battle for the Oil Barrel.” Kick off is slated for 7:00 pm.
