Eagles Compete in Ironman Tourney

Gold Team The Gold team placed second at the Solon Comet Classic on the opening weekend of the 2014 wrestling season. Leading the way for the Eagle grappler was Matt Stencel finishing 1st at 195lbs. Freshman Girls Win Big

The freshman girls unloaded on the Start Spartans Tuesday night in a 50-13 victory.  The Lady Eagles put on a defensive clinic, holding the Spartans to only 7 points midway through the 4th quarter.  Leading the Eagles in scoring were Macy Cousino and Hailey Clere.

JV Girls Defeat Start 40-28

The Clay junior varsity girl’s basketball team pushed their record to 3-1 with a 40-28 win over the Start Spartans.  Leading the way for Clay were Elizabeth Vincent with 13 points, and Chyna Wiggins and Caitlyn Kuecher each had 9. Next up for the JV squad is a TRAC match up at Fremont Ross.

Defense + FT Shooting = Victory

The Varsity Lady Eagles put their relentless defense on display Tuesday night, forcing 24 Spartan turnovers in a 47-42 win over Start.  Clutch 95% FT shooting helped seal the victory.  Leading the way for Clay were Haley Hess with 20 pts, Hannah Hess with 11, and Haley Orr with 10 pts and 7 rebounds.

Clay Gymnast Places in Top Ten at First Meet

This past Tuesday, the Clay Eagles went up against 5 local high school gymnastics teams in their first meet of the season. The girls had a great meet with several great individual rankings. Hopewell Louden Jr high duals (14teams)

Fassett finished 2nd this past weekend out of 14 teams missing out of first place 7 points. This is the second time the Eagles have finished second this year. They were also second at the Midwest duals.  The Eagles will compete this Saturday in the TRAC duals at Fassett starting at 10am.

Lady Eagles Win Big At Findlay

The varsity Lady Eagles recovered from a loss at Central Catholic on Monday with a strong performance by beating Findlay 61-46.  Displaying relentless defense, the Eagles forced Findlay into 18 turnovers.  Leading scorers for Clay were Sam Enck and Haley Hess with 19 points each.  Haley Hess added 5 assists and 5 steals to her

The freshman Lady Eagles have started off TRAC play with back to back wins this week on the road.  Monday, the team defeated Central Catholic by 2 in a close battle.  Last night, aided by some hot shooting and full court pressure defense, Clay took down Findlay 53-24
