As Spring sports are on hold, there is still some exciting events taking place at homes across the area. Our own Faith Ramirez-Johnson has signed her letter of intent to run track & field at the University of Findlay. Faith, a senior, would be competing in her third year for the Clay Track team. She started running track her sophomore year with little experience. She showed interest in the high jump, and quickly it became her passion. Hard work and determination was the key to her success. As a sophomore she was able to earn her varsity letter by jumping 4’8″. She quickly became a force to be reckoned with as she set a personal best of 5’1″ her junior year and went on to qualify for the regional track meet. With high hopes for this season and looking to qualify for the state championship we share the sadness of a season that may not be. We all hold out hope that we will be on the track again! Congratulations to Faith Ramirez-Johnson on her new chapter of life, becoming an Oiler at the University of Findlay.
