Game Recap

The Clay High J.V. Eagles (17-5, 6-4 TRAC) stretched their winning streak to 4 games by beating and sweeping the St. Francis Knights Tuesday night in a game that would only see 7 hits combined. Matt Mohr (2.22) was the story on the mound tonight for the Eagles only giving up 1 hit in a complete game performance. Mohr picked up his 6th win on the year for Clay, Matt gave up his only hit in the 4th inning. The Eagles were led at the plate by the top 3 in the order ( Drew Collins .466, Trent Kuhlman .320 and Grant Spears .403) who went a combined 5-9. Collins was 2-4 with a double, 2 runs and a steal. Kulhman was 2-3 with a RBI, a sac fly and a steal. Clay will now play 1st place St. Johns Wednesday looking to avenge an earlier loss in their pursuit for 20 wins on the season.
