Game Recap

The Clay High J.V. Eagles (16-5, 5-4 TRAC) won their 3rd game in a row on Monday night on the road against the Swanton Bulldogs. The Eagles played well in every facet of the game pounding out 12 hits ( 5 doubles) and throwing strikes on the mound all night. Toeing the hill and pitching 4 scoreless innings was Trent Kuhlman (0.98) who struck out 3, and picking up his 3rd win of the year. Ian Johnson came in and pitched a solid 2 innings also striking out 3 and only giving up 1 earned. At the plate Clay was patient while hitting rockets all over the field. Eagles with multiple hits were: Grant Spears (.400) who was 3-5 with 2 doubles, 3 runs and 2 Rbi’s. Matt Mohr (.379) was 3-5 with a 2b, a run and a rib. Drew Collins (.464) was 2-4 with 3 rbi’s, a double and a run. Trent Kulhman (.298) Went 2-3 with a rib and a run. Clay will now face St. Francis tomorrow in another tough league battle which starts a 3 game home stretch.
